But of course it is better on a 4x5' cam!! Hugo-Meyer made some lenses in Leica SM, that could be used on any camera with that thread. I use it open for soft focus photography, very please with the results. The only lenses that I'm aware of that were made for the model A Leica (which was a fixed lens camera) were: the 50/3.5 Anastigmat, 50/3.5 Elmax, 50/3.5 Elmar, and 50/2.5 Hektor.
